Bits of the crystal flake off onto your tongue as you toss it at Ares. While tasting sweet they're unusually crunchy, like chewing on shards of glass. As you spit the remnants out, you find there are many more shards then had originally flaked off into your mouth. Had they replicated somehow, in that short period of time in your mouth?
Maybe you shouldn't have done that...
