Just as Kali’s jaws were about to close over the Ashen boy’s leg, her bi-colored gaze watched as it drew back as if he were about to kick her. Her gaze widened and she rolled to the side just in time for his claws to just barely rake over her cheek, a burning scratch trailing along the place where he’d connected. It didn’t bleed, but it was still annoying. She was quick to her paws, but not quick enough this time to avoid his massive paw from connecting with the side of her head. She stumbled to the side, disoriented with an ‘oof’ coming from her lips. Her nose wrinkled in distaste and she turned, lunging forward lightning quick in an attempt to deliver a bap of her own to the side of his head with a dainty paw.
