He had asked if she was okay, but when she went to speak it was like her breath just came out of her without a noise. Silence certainly wasn't new between them or for her, but not being able to speak at all was definitely a little frightening.
The fog grew thicker as she was nearly stumbling on what, roots? Him? She wasn't even sure. Soon she couldn't see anything around her, not even the brute. The voice of her father she had heard previously was long forgotten in the back of her mind as she thrashed around in the fog, making her lose her breath quicker. Even though she couldn't hear the voices, everything seemed so loud around her. Maybe it was her own struggled breathing in her chest, but before she knew it she was down on the ground, passed out from the exertion she had vaguely remembered in her time in Fireside. The fog would fade to reveal her laying there unconscious, but would the brute be joining her down there as well? Maybe a little nap wasn't so bad.
