No escape from reality
As Takeshi laid there, the world around him suddenly blurred, making him feel like he was going to throw up all over again. Then, standing in front of him, was his great Firefly God. Even in his chaotic state, the boy knew to bow, his nose practically pressed to the ground in reverence. Before him was his savior, and possibly his tormentor, but he knew far better than to throw accusations. “It’s an honor to see you again, my lord,” he thought, knowing his thoughts would get through to the being. His head rose and he looked at the wares in front of him. There was a drink that was supposed to make him more resilient, a flute that was supposed to summon a companion, and a potion made from the odd mushrooms. The being hadn’t led him astray yet, and so he slid forward 3 crystals for the flute. He figured it would be rude to not let it seem him use the gift, so the boy raised the item to his lips and blew into it, testing it out and gave the Firefly God a delirious smile. “My lord, am I dying?” he asked.
