As the girl lay there gasping, Cerberus ran up. He lifted her, cradling her small frame in his arms. Scylla had been angry before, but now tears found their way to her wide eyes. The green goo slid down her cheeks as she pressed into her brother's chest. "Is he going to leave us here? Are we going to die in here, Cerb?" A small sob pulled from the girl's throat and her odd paws gripped at her siblings obsidian and russet coat. "I thought he loved us. Why is he leaving us here to die?"

Raising her damp eyes to her brother's face, for a moment his features disappeared in the darkness. Scylla gasped and pulled her face away from his, blinking hard before looking back to see Cerberus' true features. A frown pulled at her lips, the bottom one quivering slightly. "I don't want this anymore. Why won't it stop?"He was her brother. Her older brother. Surely he had all of the answers, right?
