Saying that Ásvor was unwell was a slight understatement. The sickness that gripped her was merciless.. perhaps it was a good thing that Valdis had been taken before her so that she wouldn't see her wife succumb to such a fate. Not that she wasn't mourning her death, but deep down Ásvor was a woman of faith and she knew when her time came that she'd seen Valdis in the afterlife. No doubt she was already celebrating and awaiting Ásvor's arrival; she only hoped she didn't know of her suffering and wouldn't worry too much for her. The crystal that had started growing from her eye had now overtaken it completely, rendering it completely sightless now. Truthfully she'd be surprised if the sight ever returned. The pain fluctuated from bad to nearly unbearable, but a steady supply of psychotics and pain relievers was getting her through this without much fuss.
As she passed the pens she noticed the sheep were bolting about as if being chased by something, easy to see even with only one good eye. She choked up a bit of colored spit, joined by the ooze dripping down her cheeks, as she scanned the darkness - and then she saw it, an odd shape in the fog that looked oddly wolf-like. "Is someone there?" She called out, curious. If her sight was beginning to fail her in her opposite eye she wouldn't be surprised, but she was pretty sure she'd seen something.
