While his kids were growing like weeds before his eyes, Azure's sickness was worsening. The half-mad wolf was no longer sleeping, brought to his knees only when the exhaustion became too much to handle for a few brief moments of rest. The paranoia had become almost too much to manage, made worse by the sudden gaps in his memory Azure recently suffered. He came to standing at Hanako's side, his brows furrowing in temporary confusion as he glanced around the plains. "We're letting them out?" He whispered to his mate. Azure couldn't remember having made that decision with her, but then again there was lots he couldn't remember lately.

Loyal Bean scampered up to his master, climbing up the direwolf's chest to dab at the ever-dripping faucet of ooze from his nostrils with a small piece of pelt. Azure waved the fisher off. "Go supervise the children." He snapped to the creature, glancing at the skies to see that at least one of his stupid companions could function without a command. Diablo flew circles above them and the children, keeping careful watch. Along the beach shore was his leopard, who paced with boredom across the sand to ensure no children moved too close to the dangerous waters. "It's not enough." Azure whispered once more. "I want them back inside, we can't protect them out here."
