The utter relief she felt when Irilyth reported that Alastor and Avacyn's symptoms were beginning to diminish felt like a huge weight had been lifted from her shoulders. It felt like she had been so careful to make sure Alastor didn't get himself killed in some reckless fight or hunt and she had protected her children so fiercely only to have some illness or curse she couldn't control try to take them from her. She hadn't gotten much rest since they were quarantined to another part of the island, but she had been doing her best to hide her worry for Saracyn. She knew the twins hated to be apart as it was and it was a full time job right now to make sure that her son didn't go sneaking off to see his sister. It had all put her on edge and it took all of her patience not to snap at him even though it wasn't his fault, but then Irilyth told her that they were getting better and she finally felt like she could breathe again.

They still gave it several more days just to make sure the rest of the mushrooms that had been growing on Avacyn fell away and the glowing ooze that seeped from Alastor's orifices had truly stopped before they allowed themselves to all accumulate together again and very little made her happier than finally being able to lay eyes on the missing pieces of her family and see for herself that they were okay. The twins were of course tumbling over one another immediately and after instructing Sara to be careful with his sister since she was still recovering she tucked the two in to get some rest while she drug Alastor back out toward the lake. As much as she wanted to take him then and there in her relief that he had recovered and from being so pent up from the weeks without him, she couldn't get past the remnants of the ooze that had crusted into his fur around his muzzle, cheeks, ears, chest, and even on his forelegs where he had clearly been wiping it away.

There was a shallow portion of the lake that was slightly separated from the rest of the lake, creating a natural tub of sorts. She brought him down to this portion of the lake with some soaps they had in their supplies, eyeing the crystal ball thing he had come back from his quarantine with. Avacyn had returned with a couple of bottles of potions as well and she had made sure those were put away with Irilyth's medicines, but she couldn't convince Alastor to do the same with this "bath" thing he received. She motioned to the water, saying, "Get in, you crusty man, so we can get you clean."
