Splish Splash I was Taking a Bath
Alastor <3

Manea rolled her eyes with exasperation at her husband's quip about bathing more slowly the more sensitive areas, but a sly grin still pulled across her features. Gods, how she had missed him. Seeing him like this with his usual banter was really what convinced her that he was truly okay. He was purely himself in every ridiculous way so whatever had previously possessed him had truly been chased off. She didn't know what to attribute their sudden improvement to, but she was glad for it all the same. She didn't feel complete without Alastor by her side and now she could breathe again with this wonderfully insane man teasing her about pleasuring him. There would be plenty of that to come, but not until this cursed goop was washed out of his fur and it was glistening with its usual raven luster once more. Avacyn would have to have a bath as well to make sure all the fungal spores were gone from her coat and around her scales, but for now Alastor was her focus.
She chuckled as he turned and sat with an expectant look and she plucked one of the bars of soap from the small pile of supplies before wading out into the water with him. Dampening the bar of soap, she held it between her claws so it couldn't slip away and then started rubbing the soap into his fur, mostly around his chest, neck, cheeks, and forelegs where the worst of the dried, crusted over goop had accumulated so it could start loosening up to be rinsed away. There was no shortage of stolen kisses while she worked, catching up for lost time with all of the affections they couldn't share while that awful infection took over him. The sight of the glowing ooze dripping from him and the mushrooms sprouting from Avacyn's scales, hearing her screams as they tried to remove them... Those were memories that wouldn't fade any time soon and it only made her all the more appreciative of the fact that they had pulled through.
Once the soap was applied she paused long enough to leave a longer, lingering kiss on his muzzle and when she pulled back she gave him a look that was both as loving and adoring as it was lustful. "I'm so glad you're alright," she told him softly, a bit of tender emotion creeping into her voice. She wasn't like this all that often, softer and more emotional in her words and actions, but after being so close to losing him it was hard not to be. She gave him another kiss before she retreated toward the shore for a brief moment to drop off the soap she had been using and to instead pick up a bowl she could use to scoop water and pour it over him to rinse out the soap. While she was standing on the shore of the lake she glanced down at the crystalized ball again with an uncertain tilt of her head. "Are you going to want to find out what this does?" she questioned with a glance over at him. "Should I toss it in and get it over with?"
