Somehow he succeeded in grabbing the monster's leg. Once on it he refused to let go and clung to the limb as though his life depended on it. Even as the monster's jaws closed over his own Wendigo didn't turn loose of his hold. He screamed through his teeth as Askell's teeth sank into the thin skin of his muzzle, but hung on for dear life.
He continued to kick and claw at Askell. That his actions were futile never once registered. In a blind panic he was doing all he could to defeat this face-peeling monster.
