He was spectacularly... bored. This new land was interesting, but it also made him wary like nothing ever before. Permanent darkness, weird mists, growths growing off prey and predator alike - it was weird. But more than that, the ones who would converse with him - mostly the weirdly oversized wolves in the land - were sometimes, ah, not wholly mentally intact. And he wasn't sure how to handle that. He mostly didn't; preferring to simply avoid for now and watching quietly from a distance. It worked for the time being, but it did make for a boring life of survival only. He was a pack based canine; lacking those connections bothered him.
Which is how, when he heard the not so subtle steps of the wolf by the lake, he froze and then swiftly began to follow. This was one of those times where curiosity overrode some of his caution, but he kept it about him regardless. He crept forward as the wolf, very brightly colored with even brighter crystals, slid down the lake shore to the water and drank like his life depended on it. After that, he carefully approached, posed to flee, but tail up, ears perked in curiosity, and a question in his eyes. "I see that you are afflicted with this strange disease," he commented from several feet away.
