Flaring Passions
Chimera ♡

Following the magnificent night the royal family of Fenmyre had all shared in showing their appreciation for Chimera, a lot of the former life that had once inhabited Aliana had returned. The newest queen of the kingdom had a luster back in her silky coat, her eyes were bright and alive, and gentle melodies had found their way back to her mellifluous voice. A part of Ali’s heart would likely be scarred forever by the trauma and terror of the events that occurred in the cursed dark, but scars were simply evidence of healing, and Aliana was indeed healing. Routines were returned to, despite the lingering strangeness and darkness on the island. The clouded fae tended to the sick children of Fenmyre, caring for the slaves so that they might not contract whatever had plagued the pups. She knew Chimera would simply kill them if they fell ill, and her kind heart refused to let any more lives be lost unnecessarily. She returned to maintaining her garden and cleaned her study, stowing away the poisons she’d very nearly come to using on herself to relieve her pain. Thank the gods she’d been stronger willed. Throwing away everything she’d achieved and built with her new family… Ali shuddered to consider that reality.
Bolero chirped and sang gleefully from his perch on her shoulder, overjoyed to see his master resurrecting from her misery. Aliana harmonized with her avian companion, singing a little melody while she straightened up her study by candlelight. It was menial work, but it made her feel like she was getting back to her regular life bit by bit. Her work finished, Ali snapped an iris blossom off of one of her potted plants and tucked it behind her ear in her fur just beside her crown, adding small touches to bring back the beauty she’d once been so meticulous of. She had more to live for—including Chimera, and she wanted to look good for her mate at all times.
Satisfied with her work, Ali headed back down the dark corridors in search of her family. She was feeling in a bright spirit after all the physical loving she’d received from her family the night before, from the pampering Siren had given her specially, and from the admirations and love Chimera lavished her with. Perhaps she could find her lover and reciprocate some of that love to him, just the two of them this time. Taking a page from Siren’s book, Aliana enlisted the help of a couple slaves to fill the grand bath with heated water, filling the bathroom with steam in the otherwise cool air. She abstained from adding any of the oils or flowers that Siren had used for her this time, knowing well of Chimera’s distaste towards them. No, just some soap and massaging paws would do the trick. Once the water was hot and the room sufficiently steamy and humid, Ali let out a soft call for her king. It was non urgent, and if he was busy she could wait, but the clouded ash and snow fae had a good hunch that he’d be in the mood for a little surprise.

As her mate, Chimera may enter any thread Aliana is in.
