Valentine was quick to mirror Esti's confusion. His only experience with deceased wolves involved them knowing they were dead so it didn't occur to him that not all their experiences were the same. He eyed her in grumpy confusion before asking flatly, "what?" She was making no sense. He was a man on a mission and his feverish, one track mind had no room to sort out whatever nonsense long dead Esti was talking about.

"I don't have time for this." He brushed passed her. "They've been stealing from me for too long. Unappreciative bastards." He was going to clear them out and start over. Imperium would rise again and this time he would do right by them.

He paused. Esti had been a good soldier. Defeated a lion in battle and all that. He could use her help. "Come with me. Help me throw them out and whatever you want is yours."



NOTE: Valentine has a female striped skunk companion named Lefty. Unless stated otherwise assume she's present.
