Kichi had spent more time than expected away from Alastor.  He’d seen his parents graves, then gone to see his original home as a small child.  There was only one wolf he could think of besides Alastor he’d be willing to help so it was rather a surprise when he’d run into Relm and helped her with her sickness.  A puppy also had needed rescuing which took up even more time.   Eventually, Relm had gotten better and the puppy back to his brother so that Kichi could make his way to the island.

Kichi had looked at it for a while with an assumption he’d be swimming for it. After only a minute in the water, he spotted the secret under the surface and waded back to land.  Patience was a virtue Kichi had learned well on his own. Admittedly, it was harder this time as many questions tickled his mind about the future. He waited on the low tide and crossed the ocean, pausing at the end of the sand bridge, howling out a call to let Alastor know he had arrived.  He hadn’t asked Alastor how many wolves were in the band.  Were they all family? A mate and kids or was it a mate and other wolves of no similar bloodline?  He’d know soon enough.  The only important fact was that Alastor was in the band and that Kichi had a home with someone he trusted.

Kichi glanced to the side where Torch, his little water deer, had his own ideas.  The little deer was skirting the edge of where ocean and sand met.  Its hooves in the water, invisible in the sand that had floated up at the deer’s steps on it.  “Don’t go in too deep, that’s not a lake to go swimming in.”  Kichi honestly had no clue if Torch would be fine swimming in the ocean or not.  The silver and white wolf had no desire to have to go rescue him if he got swept away though.
