Pumped up kicks

Kione nodded to her instructions as he looked to the tank farther off. It would be a nice little sprint then. Kione’s tail swung like a circular fan as he let the excitement build up. To Kione this wasn’t about training as much as it was about having a bit of fun sport. His mouth opened in a broad grin as she got into position and started counting.

At the call of three Kione’s haunches pushed against the ground and the wild dog made a sound oddly more like a bird chirping than a dog or wolf barking. Sheer joy and pleasure as he ran, body lowering to the ground, bright eyes looking to the tank ahead. Mom and dad had once said that they’d beat a wolf in a race but it was a thing said but never tested. Time to find out how he faired against one wolf at least!
