Physical Description: Ulmaria is robed in a canvas of velvet black that seems to have the slightest tinge of purple in direct sunlight. The rich, dark color forms the base for broken bands and short stripes of sunset pink. They shift across her coat in various intensities, fading swiftly into purple then into the deep black of her coat. The most notable patches of this intense color lie along her forelegs, neck, lower back and face. A thin marking of the bright rosey color marks the center of her face from her forehead to halfway down her muzzle. Disjointed stripes of the same color form three abstract bands beneath each of her stunning, amythyst eyes.

Ulmaria stands a respectable 41" tall. Her frame is elegant and lithe. Strong and wiry despite her more slender build and angular frame.

Ulmaria takes serious care in making decisions. She anticipates obstacles and remains careful and vigilant of the world around her. She knows its an unpredictable place. As such she approaches life with a certain reserve. She needs time to listen and think before she speaks. She likes to plan ahead so she can anticipate what might go wrong and she is careful not to give too much praise and recognition, lest it be misconstrued. For her life is not a popularity contest but a minefield. Others can run recklessly through it if they choose. She moves deliberately, refusing to put a paw down until she's weighed the impact.

Blessed with self-assurance, Ulmaria has confidence in her abilities and her judgement in a quiet and steady way. She knows she is able to meet new challenges and has her own unique and distinct perspective of the world. No one can tell her what to think and what to decide. They can guide. They can suggest. However, she'll make the final choice herself.

Ulmaria takes responsibility for her actions and anything she commits to, whether large or small, she feels emotionally bound to follow it through to completion. If for some reason she cannot deliver she automatically starts to look for ways to make it up to the other person. Apologies are not enough. Excuses and rationalizations are unacceptable. Overall Ulmaria has a great desire to learn. The process of learning, rather than the outcome, excites her. This is especially true in the area of healing. The steady and deliberate journey from ignorance to competence thrills her. She doesn't necessarily need to be the end-all expert. She doesn't strive for the respect or admiration of others. The outcome of the learning is less significant than the journey.
