Fern

Since returning to the Hallows, Fern has allowed her body to rest as it needed. Her stitched together shoulder is mending, only smarting when she swings the limb too wide and the healing skin pulls against the sutures. While the gray girl stays at the castle, allowing her body to heal, Fern has taken it upon herself to try and be helpful while here. That is why she is out patrolling the borders of the plains, making sure that the Hallows remains a safe place. Aqua eyes sweep the area, nose testing the air for any signs of danger. Everything seems safe and Fern turns to head back toward the castle, her body already tried from the short patrol.
A scent drifts on the breeze, reaching her nostrils as she readies to leave. Fern stops dead in her tracks as she recognizes it, she and a stranger had fought one before. Quickly, Fern changes directions, following the scent toward the tiger. She moves carefully through the brush, trying not to give away her position. The striped rump of a tiger finally comes into view and Fern hunkers down preparing to strike. She hopes to make Rudy proud of her. The tiger moves out of cover, coming face to face with a familiar wolf and Fern feels her heart drop. It is the wolf that she fought alongside with when the sick bear attacked! Serenity, her name is Serenity.
Aqua eyes watch as the startled Serenity turns to face the large feline, quickly switching into attack mode and growling at the cat. She lunges forward, snapping at one of the tiger’s forelegs. Luckily, the cat seems as startled as the wolf and it takes a moment longer to recover. Without warning, Fern pushes her body forward, dashing toward the large feline as it raises a paw to swing at Serenity’s head. A streak of gray plows headlong into the tiger’s side, knocking it off balance and making the paw swing wide. Fern is already retreating, moving to stand next to Serenity and look at the recovering cat. Glancing at the wolf, Fern dips her head in silent greeting before setting her defenses and reading for her strike.
Fern has a female stoat companion named Puff. She is always nearby.
