Things had been, honestly, strange since Halo washed up on the beach. She wasn't sure quite how much time had passed-- a few days, maybe? That sounded right. Halo wasn't entirely certain, as she'd been restless. Unsettled. Anxious? Probably anxious. The encounter with the panther had put her on edge. She thought of what the hulking man had said, the one that saved her... it wasn't safe. Just Halo's luck, it seemed. It seemed that she was bound to her anxiety at this point, and she'd have to process that on her own. There were ways to quell anxiety, that much she knew. But where would she find those ways? It was cannabis that Halo sought out as she moved carefully north, through the rock garden. Her gaze was soft, making use of the morning sunlight. Bright and early, that was the best she could ask from herself. Halo was learning-- learning her place in the world, learning where she fit, and learning how to fix herself. Maybe if she could learn to fix her own issues, she could fix others too. Wasn't it pretty to think so? Halo certainly thought so. Gaze entirely trained on the ground, she carefully picked her way through the rocky landscape, nose to the ground. |
