It almost felt like every day Basilisk grew another few inches. His appetite was impressive, and would have been a problem if Azure didn’t ensure he got the first cut of the prey their father brought them at dinner times. The extra attention was paying off, and already Bas seemed to tower over his siblings. He was almost twice Levi’s little height already.

The young boy fought and learnt and drove himself to ensure Azure was the proudest of him, but that didn’t mean he didn’t care about his siblings. Levi was little, but Bas didn’t treat him any differently for it.

Speaking of the runt - Basilisk found him in the grass near the border, his attention on another creature not far from either of them. Was that… a couger, trespassing? His hackles raised, and he glanced at Levi. “We could take him”
