He was sure the damage he had caused to the bear would be permanent. The polar bear likely would have some serious trouble getting back to the North, assuming that's where it would return. His teeth and horns had done significant damage to his hind leg. Flesh and muscle were torn and shredded, though when the polar bear ripped away from him, Ifrit allowed it to release itself. The bear opted to turn and run instead of continuing to fight, and as the female chased it off, Ifrit added to the escort and snapped his teeth and snarled, threatening to pummel it some more and making it think twice about turning around.
Once it was gone and out of sight, the she-wolf turned to him, her golden gaze the only light in the misty forest. "Ifrit. And don't mention it, I didn't have anything better to do anyway." Normally he'd just walk away without a word. But perhaps the past season or so had made him realize he didn't really like to be as anti-social as he thought.
