Together the canines harried the bear. Teeth and claws raked and bit, doing just what teeth and claws were supposed to do. Eska bit and pulled and thrashed, tearing wounds in the bears brown pelt. Everything that was supposed to happen in a fight. She was a pro at this sort of thing by now, being a predator magnet as she was.

On level ground, Eska rushed the bear from the side, biting into its heel and pulling with all of her might. The ursine slid to its knee with a grunt and rolled onto its side, swiping at the woman with one heavily clawed paw. No big deal. Prone as it was, the bear was now slow. Eska bit into its lower belly, teeth pulling through fur and flesh and she tasted the blood.
