Fast Food

Kotori and Grimshaw had found the deer’s trail and tracked out here to the willows.  The young stag was drinking at a pool of water.  It looked up occasionally with a cocky gaze as if nothing could scare it.  Kotori glanced at Grimshaw for a moment, a soft whisper just for him, “I’ll get around to the other side.  Once I’m ready I’ll nod for you to start.”

Kotori assumed Grimshaw would agree with it, a pretty basic plan.  Kotori slid through the willows and all the various hiding spots it offered.  The boy’s eyes flicked between the best path to take and watching their food.  He was already enjoying the idea of the upcoming hunt.  With each successful hunt his confidence grew.  Kotori settled into his position once reached and looked to Grim, nodding quietly that he was ready to begin when the other wolf started.
