The pup went shooting through the long grasses, muffled laughter in his throat as he tore after his prey. The squirrel was fast, so fast! And the clumsy pup was struggling to keep up. He was losing ground with every step, but that didn't stop him. He was determined. So much so that he didn’t even hesitate when it leaped over the small stream. He went ploughing after it, water splashing across his legs, and then suddenly he was in the hot springs territory.

The squirrel scampered up the nearest tree and Bas stomped over to the base of it. Huffing, laughing, and grumpy all at once. Shaking his head, he started to turn away when he realised… There was a shape under the tree. Another squirrel? He shuffled closer, wondering if this would be easier prey…
