While he'd certainly had rather of stayed home and nurtured his growing litter (well, nurtured Basilisk) Azure knew a part of his new rank was to spend time with the others of the pack too. Grimshaw had been working hard on improving his skills and Az could not assess the young wolf hiding away in his den with his family.  He agreed to accompany the warrior, travelling along beside him until they reached the rich prairie. The walk was in silence - which Azure wholeheartedly preferred - and he was pleased that Grimshaw did not complain nor try to tempt him into conversation. As far as he was concerned, small talk was unnecessary and he did not need to befriend his wolves to see them succeed. That was Mortis' lot in life, not his own.

Grimshaw shrugged out of his harness and gestured to the herd, offering him a choice on what they'd accomplish here today. Azure's head shook to his question, gaze roaming across the unsuspecting prey. "There's no reason to cull them all, many are still healthy. They should be allowed to continue reproducing and growing their numbers for the next hungry wolf who comes at them for a meal." Besides, the Armada wolves had all been eager to prove their worth once the ooze had past. Their pack was not going hungry, and their stores seemed to always be full.

He eyed a few stragglers, older members of the herd who were already on their last legs. Azure motioned his head towards them, and then ventured further down the hill in a crouch. As he moved he spoke softly, instructing the boy. "You are faster, I'll need you to cut them from their group. Once we have them separated we can start to take them down."

"Speech"

Both of Azure's ears have notches and tears.
Az has a scar across his right eye, a mirror image of his natural born marking.
Azure has saber fangs, bone spurs on his elbows and knees, and the paws/forelimbs of a bear.
Not all of these features are always reflected in his art.

Azure's companions are a very big bat and a young clouded leopard, unless otherwise stated assume they're not with him.
