Whenever You Have a Bad Idea, Take a Shot

Romulus gazed warily down at the sparkling gold potion that had randomly shown up on his nightstand after a strange dream involving that firefly entity from the end of the world. He had no idea how it got here or who put it there, but he had it now. So... what did he do with it? The obvious answer would be to drink it, but did he really trust strange drinks given to him by shady men? Ehh... it wouldn't have been his worst idea in the world. Besides, what was the worst that could happen, right? He'd already survived his affliction with the crystals growing out of his spine. Surely if the gods wanted him dead, they wouldn't be getting this creative with him. A bolt of lightning would work just as effectively as a shiny potion.

Maybe I should wait for Lillith, just in case... he thought to himself, his claws rapping against the wooden table while he eyed the shiny potion. Not even a moment later, he grabbed the bottle in his paw and popped the stopper off. Ah, fuck it. In one go, Roman threw the potion back down his gullet and swallowed, barely tasting the pretty liquid before it was going down into his stomach. No risk, no rewards, right? Besides, he was a trained healer in a literal hospital surrounded by the best doctors in the world. If this was going to poison him, he had the best odds here. Now was science time, and he was the experiment!
