A smart man did not near a woman in her heat, did not dare venture towards her when her children had only recently entered the world. Such an action would only make his imminent death a certain thing. And so, the red king would linger, far from her, far from his spawn, watching, waiting. When things had settled, in days, he would turn himself before them to grant them each names, to take them to their home. Though, this was all for future things to come, he was waiting, bathing in the moment. His children would be strong or they would die. It was safe to say he cared little, and yet he cared greatly. He yearned for each of them to achieve success, and thus his own arrogance and need for domination would be demanded up them. He expected no less than leaders. Than perfect children at each other's beck and call. They still had yet to earn their names. For now their precious maman would take care of them.

A vicious growl would rip free of his lungs, erupting from his scarred muzzle. Vehemence and his only call to let her know that he was aware of what had happened. He, however, would only wait, and at dusk he would find her food, find her nourishment. She had gotten...fat. Thus, he expected many children of the large caliber. Hopefully, he would not be disappointed.
