Levi had more speed than Zee had anticipated, and while she knew fast things came in small packages, it was endearing to see just how much effort the little pup put into his racing. It was almost enough to distract her from what should have been an easy win - after all, if she got too far ahead of him she couldn't watch him run anymore.

They neared the finish line and Zee straightened her neck, leaning into the wind and sprinting hard for the last few legs of the race. While she'd had liked to let Levi win for his own confidence, she had a feeling making it too easy on him would definitely get her in hot water with the pup later.
