Working out the kinks

Raijin certainly hadn’t expected his nephew to show up, but it was a welcome sight nonetheless. While the yearling showed him respect with a bow, ever the proper heir, Raijin swept forward to engulf the yearling, now taller than him, in a burly hug. ”It’s good to see you, Takeshi. You’ve grown into a fine young man I see, intimidating even to me! I have a lot I want to talk to you about, but how about we warm up with a spar first, eh?” he offered, clapping the yearling on the shoulder with a boisterous laugh.

The man turned, heading back a few feet before squaring himself off in front of the large, glowing boy. He was interested to see how far he’d come in his training, no doubt formidable if he were at all like his sire. But, Raijin wasn’t a wimp either by any means. He’d grown up with Hanzo and they’d spent their youths sparring each other, training side by side. Likely any moves the boy threw at him courtesy of his old man, Raijin could toss right back. He allowed the boy the first move with a nod of his sabered head.
