When I Wake Up

Maybe in some sort of way they weren't so different. And of course Duchess couldn't see, or cared to look for it, but while she had wanted just the same attention, she also wanted to feel that sense of dependency like she was needed. To build that strong relationship, not to just be thrown away. It would seem at least on the surface that the brute couldn't give her everything she wanted, not in the long run. But she didn't know him, only what he felt like.

Though he gave her what she wanted immediately, to be desired. And it certainly wouldn't go unnoticed. Her eyes fluttered almost bashfully at the compliment, she was gently receptive to his own actions moving closer to her, but leaving space between them. She didn't move away from him, but that was no surprise given their last encounter. She definitely didn't regret being with him then, and she wouldn't now. "Well then, are you going to join me?" She questioned almost playfully, her paw running slowly over the water's surface as if a welcoming gesture.

Though whether he had preferred to stay dry, it didn't matter to her. She returned her attention to the mushrooms she had so obviously shown, or at least didn't hide as he mentioned.
