The tiny squirming pup found the sudden shock of the outside world more than overwhelming, but a warm comforting tongue descended upon her and she found the strength to utter a tiny whine. She was hungry and cold and the sudden transition into life had left her exhausted. Then she was nosed over to her mother?s side and instinct took over. The recently named Canta latched on hungrily to her mother, drinking in the sweet warm milk. Her hunger quickly abated as her tiny belly filled, swelling slightly. Sleep was beckoning the newborn and she would not deny it. Snuggling up to her mother she uttered a small sigh and fell asleep. Speech, Thank you so much Wolfie! |
