Venom thought that life would return to normal once the sun returned and her husband was back at her side, but it hadn’t. Nothing was the same anymore, or rather everything remained as it was, but the lines didn’t quite line up. The world’s parallels were slightly askew. And Venom felt it all over, but most glaringly was in Hattori. She couldn’t know the thoughts that went through his mind but she was as close as a mortal came to doing so. Venom could tell from the moment he returned something was off but she had attributed her paranoia to his illness.
The last few days he had felt distant at best as she watched his thoughts eat away at him, but he had yet to bring them to her for council. That was until he called out for her. He didn’t often summon her, it seemed he preferred to find her in his quiet ways. She knew not why he chose this moment, but she wouldn’t hesitate to make her way to his side.
Sunset gaze fell on his massive frame, and she bit her lip as emotions warred within her. Part of her wished to rush to the husband that she loved, the other half that was far too aware of his silent frustrations held her back. She slowed as she approached from behind, her ears laying lazily on her skull as she tried to ease the tension building in her limbs.
"Hattori?” She asked after him softly, letting her own gaze drift out over the ocean as she took her place beside him.
