The larger male seemed apprehensive, and Inoki planned to take full advantage of that. She knew she was small, and she'd use that against him if he didn't know how to deal with her. While she wouldn't fight dirty, using small-wolf tactics like slipping underneath or dancing on the edge of his reach were a good idea, as using brute force was simply not an option for her against larger opponents. He decided to run at her, and she grinned deviously at him, lifting herself up onto the tips of her toes to dart out to either side. Being flattened didn't sound like a fun idea, after all.
She wasn't expecting him to reach out with a front paw to hook around her front leg, but decided to go with the flow and allow herself to be pulled aside. Her back legs dragged in the dirt and sand with the force of it, and Inoki felt herself stumble a little. But she was fast and light on her feet, and with a great heave she pushed off the ground to jump up and over his extended leg, whipping her head around to graze at the skin on his side as she attempted to put some distance between them, as it would only take a few moments for him to get the weight advantage and pin her to the ground. She needed to be only just close enough to get a quick attack of her own in, but not too close that he was able to grab her, as then it would be all over for her. |
