Ulmaria slunk away from the badger's den, keen to find something else to do. That hadn't gone at all the way she wanted it too. When she was bigger she'd show that badger who was boss! Ulmaria's ears twitched at the sound of teeth on bone. She quickly ducked in the grass. What if it was a coyote or a hyena? She crept through the grass in the direction of the sound, scooting her belly along the dirt until she spied the source of the sound. Another pup was chewing on the bone. Her head popped up over the grass. "Hey! Did you catch that by yourself? Are you a fighter? Can you beat up badgers?" She shot the rapid fire questions at the other girl as she waddled through the grass and over to the unknown pack mate.
