The other wolf joined her back on the ice, but he wasted no time before making an attack at the polar bears throat. A low growl left her maw at the hastiness of the wolf; she wanted to take her time to pick the right moment to attack, but he was making it very difficult by riling up the larger predator. At least he had gumption at least, even if it could be misconstrued as foolishly bold. The polar bear was very unhappy at having a wolf hanging from its throat again, and it took a swipe at the wolf with one of its front legs. Deciding she didn't want to push her luck and risk being grabbed by the polar bear, Iðunn ran around to the hind end of the larger predator with little issue as she was used to running on ice from years of practice. She took just a moment to pick her target, before leaping at one of the hind legs, taking it firmly just above the paw and clamping down as tightly as she could. Her own back paws dug into the ice as she pulled with all her might backwards, wanting to at the very least divert some attention from the polar bear if she couldn't pull it off balance. Her jaws clamped tightly, tight enough to crunch down on bone as she felt more than heard a loud popping crack from between her teeth, prompting a blood-curdling roar from the polar bear. If a broken bone wasn't enough of a distraction, then she didn't know what else would be. |
