Work Up an Appetite

Balthier wasn't quite sure how much fighting experience the group had while they loaded up on the ferry and started to make their way over to the mainland. Some of them were close to his age, and one of them wasn't even a year old. He had heard of the practice raid and went north for sometime to practice sparing as well as bringing back meals to fill their stores. But he couldn't help but wonder how the others would fair. At least it wasn't a real battle. It seemed they would be tested today.

They walked in group towards the callers, and soon they were face to face with them. Dalila leading them, she had almost asked if each side was ready to begin. Being more practiced as of recently, he took it upon himself to face off with one of the band's leaders. He didn't think he was greater than anyone on the field, his side or theirs. So maybe it was noble of him to face off with the queen? Making eye contact with her, his paw gestured out to offer her the first move. He thought that seemed fair enough.
