Work Up an Appetite

Cerberus could have expected the man to grab down at his open scruff or back, but he didn’t expect anything. It was a flaw through his inexperience, but he was prepared for his thought process afterwards.

Poe grabbed hold of Cerberus’ scruff, starting to lift him up off the ground with brute strength. Cerberus had released his grip on the red man’s leg from the initial neck grasp but started to seek out another bite on the right underside of Poe’s neck close to his throat while on the way up off the ground. Moccasin stepped in only as a reflective defensive measure without Cerberus’ permission, moving forward and trying to bite behind Poe’s left knee.
