I always push back

From where he sat Hage eyed the lizard sunning itself on a rock nearby with a wary gaze. It looked harmless, but then again so did he, and he could put up a decent fight of his own, so therefore the lizard could probably do the same. He sat there silently for a short while, before suddenly stepping quickly towards the reptile with a low growl, sending it scurrying away off towards the other side of the island. Good riddance. This island they had come across was strange, a little small, and absolutely overrun with reptiles of all kind. He'd seen a large crocodile in the center pool of water and had quickly decided to not get too close. Turning to look at his travelling companion he frowned, ears pulling back in distaste as he grumbled softly under his breath, not saying any specific words in particular, but wanting to get his point across that this place sucked. There were a few gnarled trees and sharp dried grasses, but other than that it was just a bunch of rocks. And all the reptiles. Couldn't forget about them. At least it wasn't freezing cold, but that seemed to be the only good thing about this island, and he wanted off it sooner rather than later. |
