Shuriken was quite surprised at her advancement into the next round of the tournament. She lost the first time against Oki last time. So the little bit of pride had her nearly floating, but it wasn’t enough to make her believe she would win this fight. The last had been a fluke, this time the Armada girl would certainly beat her. This was the Warlord’s daughter, there wasn’t much chance of defeating her. Still, Ike was certain she would at least learn something, which was really the important part. There wasn’t a likely victory, but every fight gave her more experience. As mom said, that was a quality that would help her become a better fighter and ultimately a better leader. Someday.

So the girl lifted herself for the second round, taking in a deep breath and lifting her head. If she acted like she had confidence she would eventually have confidence right? She prayed her paws wouldn’t betray her as her still gangly form approached the ring and waited for her opponent.
