Even Servants Need Vacations
Irilyth

Being back on the island, settled back into their permanent home once more, without having to plan her next move and next step constantly was an amazing relief. She felt like a weight was lifted away from her shoulders to know that they didn't have to travel around any more and she had somewhere designated as their own that they could protect and keep their family safe. It couldn't have come at a better time either. With the height of summer upon then she knew she was only a couple months until her next heat and now there would be no question of where they would raise their next child. She had already started thinking ahead to the future and had started working some additional training in for Avacyn as the heir to being not only the alpha of the pack, but also the matriarch of the family. She kept the studious girl close most days, but not today. Today she had other things in mind.
Alastor had taken the children out for some training and exploration off of the island and that left her with at least several hours to spend however she wanted. The extra pressure of preparing for the pack had made her turn her attention to certain things and away from others, but now that she had more freedom to do what she wanted she brought her attention to things she had been neglecting—or more specifically wolves she had been neglecting. Irilyth had been one of her earliest followers and one of her most dedicated, being the nanny she hadn't realized she would need so heavily and the healer that the pack seemed to lack from their other members. They hadn't had any time for her to show how much she appreciated the tawny woman so that's what she set her sights on today.
Manea gave herself a shake as she padded into the caves that she and Alastor had claimed as their own, the main chamber branching off into several other smaller caves that they had made into dens. She and Alastor of course shared one while Saracyn and Avacyn shared another and Irilyth kept her own near the cave's entrance. There were still several others that were unused in this branch of the mountain's caves, but that simply meant they had plenty of room to grow. Walking over to Irilyth's den, she smiled as her aqua gaze landed on the smaller healer, leaning her shoulder into the curved entrance of the spacious den. "Irilyth," she greeted warmly, a smile pulling across her lips. "Whatever you have planned today—cancel it. You're taking the day off and we're going to spend some time together."
