Ring Toss

Ricin sticks close to Chade’s side as the brothers walk through the carnival. Wolves are laughing, shouting in happiness as they win prizes or groaning loudly is disappointment at losing. The noises cause the lighter boy to feel restless, the urge to run tickling the back of his mind. Chade points out a booth with a coydog hyping up their game, something about tossing a ring over some pegs. The darker pup steers them toward it and Ricin follows, wanting to see what this game is all about. The lighter boy gets distracted by some colorful balloons and suddenly the coydog is directing him to step up to the line. Eyebrows shoot up but he does as instructed, picking up a wooden ring with his teeth to carefully lob it the pegs. Ricin only stays to see if he has won something before scampering off to rejoin Chade.
