Cupid's Arrow

As he aged, Straton became less and less of a party wolf. It wasn't that he minded the crowds or the noise or the sensory overload. No, he was actually quite used to it from his line of work through the years. He simply valued time to himself and his lovely little nebulous lover more. Still, with the announcement of a Love Day carnival, what better way to let his romantic side show and treat Cicero to a bit of fun and affection than with a day at the carnival? The two walked side by side down the rows of booths, stopping to get snacks when they passed something tasty or play games that looked interesting. Walking by a booth with a balloon popping game, Straton gave a humph of intrigue, watching the other wolves playing for a moment. Finally, something he could be good at! Maybe he'd even win a prize for his lovely Cicero. Straton approached the booth, nodding to the coydog as he lifted the dart, recalling the times he'd thrown knives and other weapons in his heyday, and threw for the balloons.
