A Game!
It was easy to lose track of the pip-squeak in the crowd, but she knew they would find each other again in their camp at the end of the night. It was interesting to spot familiar pelts mingled in with the strange. For now she was grateful that her height didn’t have her standing out too much, and that the sun wasn’t shining bright enough to give away the tell-tale markings in her coat for any who knew what they were looking at. After all, she had never been acknowledged, no time to start doing so now.
Ah, even her uncle was here… Hatsume looked the other way. She picked up the dart and threw it with practiced ease, noting that it wasn’t so differently weighted to the shiruken she had trained with in her youth. She hoped it would fly as true.
“Speech”
The cowdog claps his paws together happily. ”Oooo so exciting! Come on over here, gorgeous, and we’ll see what you’ve won!” He plucks the little paper from where the balloon once was, reading the text there.
