The carnival had sounded almost too good to be true in Kali’s opinion, but she also wouldn’t miss it for anything. It wasn’t often that a pack of Coydogs rode into town with a hoard of elephants and a gaggle of Magpies to do their bidding. It sounded like it was sure to be a lot of fun, and she was bored, so the only way to unboard herself was to play some games.

The lithe yearling’s bi-colored gaze scanned the different booths, landing on one with a grizzled looking booth manager who was manning an event that looked like a bunch of sticks. As she got closer, she realized that the participants were throwing hoops over the sticks. Well, that seemed easy, and they got prizes! The girl made her way to the front and snatched a few rings from the coydog, tossing them haphazardly into the ring with an excited gleam in her eyes. No way she’d fail.
