“I’m coming, i’m coming, I’m coming!” Basilisk huffed, elbowing his way through the crowd towards his friend and Uncle. He ducked and weaved and eventually squirmed his way towards them. He borrowed under a wing and tucked himself up against Hazel. “You ran off without me” he accused teasingly, eyeing the mask she had won, and then the game. “I bet I score higher than you” he whispered, and then jumped up to grab some darts of his own. Lining up at a prepared balloon, and tossing them with narrowed focus.

The boy was determined to score higher than his friend. What was friendly love if not a bit of competition?
