He did not miss the way her eyes turned, as through too much emotion lingered behind her eyes for her to meet his gaze. His heart clenched at the Empress’s sorrow. This was the line he had once sworn to protect, and Venom was very much Deathbelle’s child. It seemed they would have a similar fate in the ways of love, as well.
He clutched the bottle a little harder, before forcing his colossal paws to relax, lest he break it in this little sanctuary by the shrine. He pushed it instead back towards Venom, who was already reaching over to grab it. Taking another long sip of her own. Deeper this time, as through to drown away the emotions his question brought. The Warlord grunted softly at her answer. “Then he has a shit concept of forever.” he remarked dryly. Making no ofer to hunt the man down and box his ears, as his younger self might have suggested. He did not think Venom was angry, at least not yet. She seemed… shocked, and fragile from this change. “Why don’t you come have dinner in the Armada tonight? Give yourself a break. Your packs close enough to hear any trouble.”
