Bridges are so burnable
Asla

Okay, it was time. Mojito had been with the group for a little while now, his trips back and forth to the Armada were done with and he'd hardly seen hide nor tail of Asla... Mostly because he still didn't really know how to face her when the last time they'd shared space together she'd been giving him the cold shoulder. It was killing him. He'd left behind the only place he'd ever felt he'd belonged to be here, to be here for his daughter and in some part to be here for her mother too. Yes, Mojito still loved her, had basically said he always would and despite it all that was still proving true. But he was lonely, isolated. He did not feel the familiar pang of jealousy he once had when he knew she was out with her new lovers he simply wished he could have his friend back, that they could talk, like fucking adults. So that's what he was going to do. He wouldn't abandon his daughter, not until she was a true adult but he wasn't about to keep taking Asla's attitude like some kicked puppy who kept coming back because it was all he had. So today he sought her out, grew a pair and for the second time in his life prepared himself to hurt so much he'd probably cry himself to sleep tonight, but he'd been correct when he'd realized if he didn't look out for himself no one else would, he'd just never imaged it would mean losing the only friend he had, ever. Yep, that still stung. Speech |
