_________________________________________________________________ While she was itching to make it back home, there was still so much of the land she hadn't yet seen. Attempting to make her steps quick and her stops short, exhaustion began to run through her body. Feeling tired and slightly overwhelmed at all the sights, Audra took a turn toward the coast. The light ocean breeze felt nice against her cheeks as it ruffled her fur. Only a few clouds were seen in the sky as the light warmed against her coat. Beside her, her trusty companion, Mack, kept pace and stayed close. Thankfully, he was just about her size so if she ever needed a shoulder to lean on, he was there. When they stepped foot onto the plains, her one golden eye took sight of the dazzling ocean on the other side of the cliff. Surely, this would be a safe spot for a nap. The grass was tall and green here, dotted every so often with colorful wildflowers. A myriad of scents wafted into her nostrils and she at least knew she could find some good herbs to take home if nothing else. Pausing to get a good look around her, her attention was turned back in the direction to where the pack lines drew. Something about the way the grass rustled and Mack's fur stood on end made her worried. Was someone watching her from afar? _________________________________________________________________ A U D R A
