Beware the sunflowers

After all this time, it surprised him how he still knew where to find these lands, even if it had been a while since he’d been in them. Because he’d found the little lake he’d met that flirty wolf ages ago and had veered off towards the south, wanting to explore a bit. And wasn’t he grateful for that as he was currently settled in a lovely patch of wildflowers, herbs and other plants, simply taking in the view and smells of them all.
He’d briefly wondered what had happened to the few wolves he had met here and wondered how they were. But they all had been very brief and fleeting meetings, so they soon vanished from his mind as the wind picked up, blowing more wonderful smells past his nose and blew nicely though his coat. His bright eyes drifted around the meadow, marvelling in the abundance of all sorts of flowers and herbs. He knew a few of them, very vaguely, as his mother was a healer. Yet he dared not pick any, as his mind couldn’t recall them all so precisely like her. And yet, the herbal scent gently drifting in the air made him slightly nostalgic for her and it calmed him greatly.
Plus between the sun being nice and warm and Rayne feeling tired after his travels, he felt like he could almost take a nap...
