Emerging from the Maze, Hattori's ears tipped forward at the sound of Kuroo calling for him. There was no sense of urgency or panic in his voice, but the Kaicho didn't hang about regardless, his steps swift and sure as dry land transitioned to wet and muddy, the beginnings of the bay. Kuroo seemed to be at home amongst the gentle waters and had already amassed an impressible pile of fish. It seemed as though he was naturally talented when it came to fishing, like this was a craft truly worth pursuing.
His family felt far removed from the sanctuary of the Maze, but whether they were closely related or not they were family. Both in the blood sense and that they now shared the same clan. Though Hattori was not the sort to throw out praise all willy-nilly, he did appreciate the young man's efforts. Perhaps it was time he said as much, if the occasion arose that is.
Coming to a standstill at a respectful distance from the Chinpira- a title that was no doubt starting to chafe- Hattori gave the fisherman his undivied attention."What do you need?"
