Coffin in the Clouds

The yearling had been so mesmerized by the whole experience that when the stranger called out to her she hardly noticed. Not quite ready to tear her eyes away from the scene, or perhaps not quite able, Etoile let her gaze linger for just a short moment longer. Surely they would understand, how couldn't they? When she did finally turn to properly greet the stranger, her eyes were met with a woman whose coat almost blended seamlessly with the darkness that surrounded her, who had the most beautiful pair of teal eyes, and stood only a couple of inches shorter than she had. The way the fireflies illuminated her frame was almost as beautiful as the way they danced around the water. Etoile couldn't help but wonder if this stranger knew just how ethereal she looked right now. "My apologies. Seems it's pretty hard to look away." She giggled before pausing to reflect on what she'd just said. The Soleil was going to correct herself to make sure the woman knew she was talking about the lake, but decided perhaps it'd be better to just let her take it whichever way she pleased, neither would be a lie after all.
